Create tags with #
The twitteresque convention would be to use # instead of @ to denote tags.
It's note a big deal, but since donecal.com is so young there is still time to change this.
Done! You can now use the # sign instead. In fact you can mix # and @ (for backwards compatability).
If you switch to using # instead you'll have to reload once for the autocomplete to pick it up.
Maybe integration for real time sharing, like pictures, videos or audio - short clips of what special events are happening at any particular day.
It would be very useful to be able to import an entire Google Calendar into DoneCal. It would take the events and block out hours for them automatically.
Different colors for different tags on the calendar would help to visually differentiate what was worked on during a day/week/month.
Daily email asking for input
I don't want to forget to add stuff to DoneCal so I'd love to receive an email every day at, say, 9pm which I could reply with my daily entries (one per line for example).
This has now been implemented. Click on Email reminders
It only supports replying to emails sent to you but in the future you're going to be able to send straight in without replying to an email.
I realize this might be beyond the current scope of DoneCal, but it would be nice if I could use "for xxx hours/mins" or "@1hr/@10mins" (see above FR comment to change tag from @ to #) or some similar language to denote the length of an activity.
As soon as you're logged in everything, including the HTTP API, should be over HTTPS
A very common use case for me is using calendars on the go with my Android handset. The normal HTML front-end is not unusable on it, but isn't really optional either.
A CalDAV export link would mean I can import my DoneCal events into Google Calendar.
Ideally it should be possible to have multiple CalDAV exports depending on tag(s).
In fact, various other bits added to the API for manipulating and previewing individual events by ID
Any time you enter your email address and/or password that that happens over HTTPS
Having a "Home/Calendar" link in the header somewhere would make the page easier to use. It's not really intuitive to look for page navigation links in the footer.
It'd be easier (for all, I think) to have a form to report bugs then to email Peter directly.
The FAQ page should include an answer about why DoneCal is better or different from Google Calendar
Perhaps the PDF could not just summorize the tags and stuff but also lay out each event as a stream of news.
Would also be nice if I could export only certain tags to the PDF.
It would be nice to have a print version feature which excludes all the buttons at the bottom, and other stuff, and lays out the monthly view in landscape mode neatly and beautifully.
You can add your own feature requests too!
